Product Details

API vandetanib powder 443913-73-3 is a kinase inhibitor. It inhibits tyrosine kinases including epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR), vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF), rearranged during transfection (RET), protein tyrosine kinase 6 (BRK), TIE2, EPH kinases Receptor and SRC kinase receptor that selectively blocks intracellular signaling, angiogenesis and cell proliferation.

In 2005, it was granted orphan drug designation for medullary thyroid cancer by the FDA. In April 2011, it was officially approved by the FDA for the treatment of unresectable (inoperable) locally advanced or metastatic disease with symptomatic or progressive medullary thyroid cancer. It is the first drug approved by the FDA specifically for the treatment of advanced medullary thyroid cancer.

Vandetanib is currently approved abroad for the treatment of inoperable locally advanced or metastatic medullary thyroid cancer with obvious symptoms or aggressive progression.

Health Benefits

  • API vandetanib powder 443913-73-3 is a kinase inhibitor indicated for the treatment of unresectable, locally advanced or metastatic symptomatic or progressive medullary thyroid cancer. Because vandetanib has treatment-related risks, the use of vandetanib in patients with indolent, asymptomatic, or slowly progressive disease should be considered with caution.
  • Mutations of these targets also exist in patients with non-small cell lung cancer, so this drug is also used in patients with lung cancer with specific gene mutations. In the clinical research of non-small cell lung cancer, some researchers even call it a “Iressa II”.
