Health Benefits

  • Uterine stimulatory effect. Duckbilline has a significant uterine stimulatory effect, its intensity is similar to Oxytocin and Methylergometrine, its mechanism of action is related to prostaglandin (PG), estrogen. It can promote the synthesis of PG, which can strengthen the effect of duck-bilene; aspirin or indomethacin inhibits the synthesis of PG, which can weaken the effect of duck-bilene. The hydrochloride of duckbilline can excite the uterine muscles of non-pregnant, early pregnancy and full-term pregnancy, increase the tension and increase the contraction amplitude, and its effect is stronger than that of oxytocin and methylergometrine.
  • Effects on the nervous system. Dehydrogenate has a significant local anesthetic effect, inhibits saliva secretion caused by pilocarpine, and blocks both endogenous and exogenous acetylcholine and epinephrine; It is weaker than atropine in breaking cholinergic nerves, and has no central and cardiac excitatory effects of atropine.
  • Effects on cardiovascular system. Duck alkaloid has the effect of weakening myocardial contractility, reducing coronary flow and slightly lowering blood pressure; Duck ketone has been shown by stereo guinea pig and rabbit heart perfusion experiments to enhance myocardial contraction. force and increase coronary flow.
  • Anti-pathogen effect

Duck alkaloid has moderate antibacterial effect on Staphylococcus aureus, Shigella, Proteus and Salmonella typhi. The oils and fats extracted from leaves, flowers and roots have anti-mycobacterial effects, and it is resistant to bovine (B19-3) or bird (B19) -1) .
